Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Complex Accounting Manager to support the Chicago Marriott Suites Deerfield and Hilton Orrington Evanston. You will oversee daily accounting activities, lead AP, assist with month-end closing, and ensure internal controls across two properties.

The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with supervision of accounting staff and collaboration with hotel leadership and the Finance team.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/hospitality accounting preferred.
• Strong AP, GL, and month-end close experience.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• Experience supervising staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable for two properties.
• Review PO, invoices, and vendor statements.
• Prepare and process daily income journal entries.
• Assist with month-end closing and reconciliations.
• Monitor cash handling and deposits.
• Maintain accounting records and documentation.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Finance teams across properties.
• Provide guidance to accounting staff.
• Perform other accounting duties.
