Job summary

Ohlone College in Fremont/Newark invites applications for a Dual Enrollment Liaison (Temporary) to support high school feeder students and strengthen enrollment pathways across Fremont, Newark, and Union City.

The role is limited to 165 work days per year, up to 20 hours weekly, and will involve assisting with dual enrollment processes, college applications, and related student services. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Any combination equivalent to a bachelor's degree and two years of related work experience.
• Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills, including presentations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good record-keeping skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to provide an equitable and inclusive working and educational environment.
• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse backgrounds and equity-minded practices.
• Desirable: Bilingual Spanish and/or American Sign Language.

Responsibilities

• Develop professionals who can aid feeder school students under supervision.
• Serve designated locations and assist with college and dual enrollment applications.
• Be versed in programs such as UMOJA, Puente, Career Services, Dreamers/SAS/EOPS.
• Create a model for student integration to increase success.
• Assist with enrollment processes, residency questions, and related paperwork.
• Provide information on Ohlone programs including Guided Pathways.
• Develop skills for assisting diverse student populations.
• Use technology to generate reports and track student progress.
