Legacy Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Drug & Alcohol Counselor for a behavioral health organization in California. You will conduct assessments, provide individual and group counseling, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have CADC/CCAPP certification, a degree in Social Work or Psychology, and experience with chronic mental health conditions and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• Must hold Associate or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• Certification as a Drug/Alcohol Counselor (CADC, CCAPP, or equivalent) required.
• Experience with individuals diagnosed with chronic mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of recovery models and best practices for substance use treatment.
• Familiarity with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health services and resources.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients substance use and mental health histories
• Provide individual and group counseling for clients with dual diagnoses
• Collaborate with treatment teams to develop tailored treatment plans
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on recovery, relapse prevention, and life skills
• Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, case managers, and other professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with program and regulatory standards
• Provide education and resources on substance abuse recovery and coping strategies
• Advocate for clients and assist in connecting them with community resources
