Akron Children’s Hospital invites APRNs to join the Advanced Practice Provider Career Launch Program for the Adult and Pediatric Regional Burn Institute. The program funds education and enables dual certification through Case Western Reserve University, with an APP position offered upon entry into the Burn Institute.

Applicants must hold RN and APRN licensure with current board certification in Acute Adult‑Gerontology or Acute Pediatric care, plus a BSN and an MSN/ graduate degree.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN and APRN licensure.
• Current certification as Acute Adult‑Gerontology APRN or Acute Pediatric APRN.
• Bachelor’s and graduate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain their budgeted FTE in the Burn Unit during the program.
• Engage in dual certification through the Case Western Reserve University program.
• Transition into a specialized APP role within Akron Children’s Burn Institute after completion.
