Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:
• Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
• Share the benefits of the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Loyalty program and enroll new members.
• Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders.
Be committed to providing a consistent positive experience for the customer:
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including clearing trash, cleaning the store, and organizing stockroom items.
• Receive inbound freight, prepare, and display merchandise according to DSW standards, complete markdowns, and organize stockroom inventory.
Leverage in-store and digital services to bring the power of shoes to life:
• Complete all fulfillment functions, including locating items, inspecting product condition, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
• Use company tools to check product availability and process customer orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Prioritize customer service:
• Process transactions following DSW policies, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and change given.
• Operate registers and data entry devices proficiently.
• Collaborate with the CEL on escalated customer service issues.
• Follow asset protection policies.
Bring fun and energy to your role:
• Participate actively in team meetings and training.
• Be receptive to coaching and feedback.
• Support teamwork and inclusivity.
