Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

  • Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
  • Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
  • Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to providing a consistent positive experience:

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for customers and staff, including cleaning, organizing, and housekeeping duties.
  • Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor, complete markdowns, and maintain stockroom organization.

Leverage in-store and digital services:

  • Complete fulfillment functions including locating, inspecting, packaging, and labeling products.
  • Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Customer transactions and asset protection:

  • Process transactions following policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy in cash handling and operate the register.
  • Partner with leadership for escalated service issues.
  • Follow asset protection policies.

Bring fun and energy:

  • Participate in team meetings and training.
  • Be receptive to coaching and feedback.
  • Support teamwork and inclusivity.
Required Skills:
  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Professional, friendly, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to move quickly and meet time expectations.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology (register, iPhone, calculator).
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
