Job summary

First Resources Corp. is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Residential Services team in Albia, IA.

This part-time role helps individuals gain independence by supporting daily living, community involvement, and wellbeing, with a Monday-Friday schedule depending on client needs. You will assist with daily activities, mobility, transportation to appointments, and documenting progress on service plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver\'s license with clean driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and fill in as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with daily activities such as grocery shopping, errands, hygiene, and medication administration.
• Assist with mobility needs, including two-person transfers and use of a Hoyer lift.
• Help clients achieve personal goals like cooking, cleaning, and social integration.
• Transport clients to appointments and community events.
• Follow and document progress on Person Centered Service Plans (PCSPs).
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team members.
