Job summary

Home Sweet Home Care seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Team Lead to guide the Taylor Street Group Home in Fredericksburg, VA. The role combines hands-on care with leadership, acting as the on-site liaison between residential staff and agency leadership.

Responsibilities include overseeing direct support, ensuring ISP goals are met, and maintaining health, safety, and quality standards while promoting independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Valid Driver's License and Acceptable Driving Record.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support community integration and participation.
• Assist individuals in achieving ISP goals and outcomes.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-determination.
• Lead assigned shifts and provide direction to DSP staff.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and support.
• Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and staff accountability.
• Ensure all required services are delivered according to ISP requirements.
• Report concerns, incidents, and compliance issues to agency leadership.
