Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals to empower independence in Wake County and nearby areas. You will work one-on-one in home and community settings, acting as a trusted companion and mentor to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead more independent lives.

The role offers flexible scheduling (part-time with growth up to 40 hours/week) and opportunities to work close to home, with mileage reimbursement options and a supportive team culture built on respect

Qualifications

• One year experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+).
• Ability to transport clients to appointments and activities.

We’re hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Wake, Durham, Chatham, Orange Counties and surrounding areas! In this rewarding role, you’ll work one‑on‑one in home and community settings, serving as a trusted companion and mentor to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities—helping them live fuller, more independent lives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Empowering independence
• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Provide clients with transportation on errands, appointments and community outings
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $16/hr
• Weekly pay
• Flexible scheduling (part‑time, various shifts)
• Short commute times (we try to match opportunities within 30 minutes near your home)
• Options for mileage reimbursement

Qualifications for Our Support Professionals

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training may be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Ability to provide clients with transportation to and from appointments, errands and community outings
