Job summary

Life, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional for the 2:30PM–10:30PM shift in Rocky Mount, NC. This part-time role involves one-on-one client support, assisting with daily living activities, meals, and community outings.

You must be at least 21, hold a High School Diploma or GED, and have a North Carolina driver’s license to apply. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• NC Driver's License is required.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care activities including dressing, bathing, toileting and daily living tasks.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to encourage family-style dining and proper nutrition.
• Support clients with housekeeping tasks: clothing care, cleaning, and yard care.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional supplements as prescribed.
• Administer prescribed medications without error under supervision.
• Follow diet orders and use adaptive equipment as directed.
• Implement behavior programs, collect data, and follow safety procedures.
• Contribute to plan objectives and track progress through data recording.
• Communicate client information with the interdisciplinary team as directed by supervisors.
• Transport clients using company vehicles and supervise community outings.
• Support clients during school and day program activities; perform other duties as assigned by managers.

Compensation: $17.50/ hour

Shift Details: Hiring 2 Part Time 2nd Shift (2:30PM - 10:30PM) one on one

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned by managers.
