Job summary

LIFE, Inc. - Washington is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist clients with daily living, meals, self-care, and community activities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and safety procedures.

Shift details include 1st and 2nd shifts; duties range from personal care to transport and supervision during activities and outings. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, NC Driver's License, and being 21+.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• NC Driver's License.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in implementing prescribed diet orders and adaptive equipment.
• Implement and follow established behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and service goals.
• Communicate appropriate client information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned by managers.
