Job summary

IF! Inc in Stillwater, MN is seeking an energetic DSP to provide compassionate care for three young men in their home and community, ensuring safety and well-being and encouraging fun activities.

You will assist with daily living, monitor vital signs under supervision, and implement care plans while respecting resident rights and dignity. A valid US driver’s license and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Weakness not applicable in the ad; standard DSP role requirements and responsibilities.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license and basic communication in English.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Administer medication and monitor vital signs under nurse supervision.
• Implement individualized care plans and respect resident rights.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding; maintain a safe living environment.
• Provide companionship and engage individuals in recreational activities.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an energetic & outgoing DSP who is compassionate and would provide exceptional care and ensure the safety and well-being of 3 outgoing young men in their home and community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the life of these young men and also, be a positive influence getting them out in the community and doing fun activites!

Duties

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Provide companionship and engage individuals in recreational activities

Minimum Qualifications

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Compassion and a desire to help others
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a background check
• Valid US driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Qualifications

• Previous experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care approach.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
• 2-3 years of DSP experience required
• Please note that this position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
