Learnability LLC in Hopkins, MN is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide person-centered care for adults with disabilities in home and community settings. You will support daily living activities, assist with meals, and help participants pursue independence in a respectful, dignified manner.
Shift availability includes Thursday 2:15pm-9:30pm, Friday 2:15pm-9:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-3pm and 3pm-9:30pm, Sunday 8:30am-3pm and 3pm-9:30pm.
We're looking for a DSP to work with a happy and easy-going female in her early 30's living in her own home in Hopkins. She needs assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation and personal cares. She enjoys independent activities, like working on her iPad and sorting kits. She also enjoys interacting with staff, watching cooking shows, building puzzles and reading. Other fun activities are purposeful; shopping trips, car rides, walking in her Hopkins neighborhood or going on an outing. She gets along best with people that are happy and easy-going, talkative, and cheerful.

Our pay is starts at $22.50–$24.00 for awake hours and $17.50 for night supervision (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will be responsible for providing person-centered support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Working within the Direct Support Services department, you will assist clients in achieving their personal goals, fostering independence, and enhancing their quality of life. Your primary objective will be to promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for those in your care.
This role typically does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities. However, you may be required to assist and guide support staff or volunteers during certain tasks or activities.
