Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Direct Support Professional Lead in Moorhead, MN for evenings shifts. You will help develop and monitor individual plans, and ensure records like medication administration and progress notes are complete and accurate.

You will help maintain a safe environment, note hazards, and address unsafe situations while performing documentation and regular meetings/trainings as required by regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or experience working with vulnerable populations required.
• Experience and/or training of at least one year with individuals with disabilities required.
• Medication administration training when required (may be obtained after hire).
• First Aid training if required and CPR Certificate (may be obtained after hire).
• Mental Health Certification or other related certification may be required (may be obtained after hire).
• Background Study (BGS) clearance is required.
• Driver's license required.
• Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to read, write and use computer required.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to recognize boundaries.
• Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
• Computer skills that support LSS technology.
• Patience, self-control, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and monitoring of individual plans and monitor client files for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure medication administration records, progress notes, and reports are up to date.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment by noting hazards and maintenance needs for site and vehicles.
• Address unsafe situations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain documentation, perform record keeping and participate in periodic trainings/meetings.
