Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin is seeking a Direct Support Professional Lead in Mora. The role supports residents with developmental and/or mental disabilities in a group home setting and serves as a team lead, ensuring a safe, therapeutic living environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or related Human Services credentials and relevant experience; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3+ years full-time related work experience (6,000 hours)
• Or Human Services diploma with 2+ years related work experience (4,000 hours)
• Or AA/BA in Human Services with 1+ year related work experience (2,000 hours)
• Or minimum 6 months exemplary performance as a VOA DSP

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support residents with developmental/mental disabilities in a group home.
• Promote a safe, wholesome, orderly, and therapeutic living environment.
• Provide and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities meeting residents' needs.
• Drive residents to activities in the organization’s van when needed.
• Provide medication administration to program participants.
• Assist with menu planning and grocery shopping.
• Assist with staff scheduling and everyday household needs.
• Observe, report, and document resident behaviors.
