Job summary

Abound Health is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Knightdale, NC to provide compassionate, hands-on support for individuals with IDD. You’ll assist with daily living activities, community participation, and personal development in a team-focused environment.

Starting pay ranges from $15.40 to $19 per hour, with paid onboarding and weekly pay, plus training and growth opportunities as you help clients live more independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
