Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in Baltimore County. The role includes daily living tasks, transportation assistance, and participation in community activities to promote independence.

Ideal candidates have experience with disabilities, strong communication, empathy, and a HS diploma or GED. Rate of pay is $18.20/hour with benefits and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Basic computer skills; Therap is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities including household chores, meals, recreation, learning and fitness.
• Assist with transportation to community activities; may use company or personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
• Represent the needs and interests of individuals and provide input on program planning and implementation.
