Qualifikationen

• One year of caregiving or DSP experience.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Negative TB Test or Chest X-Ray.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Provide one-on-one support in the home and community.
• Assist with ADLs, including hygiene, grooming, bathing, and personal care.
• Support participation in recreational, fitness, and community-based activities.
• Assist with meal preparation while following dietary restrictions.
• Encourage participation in household tasks and independent living skills.
• Utilize visual schedules, routines, and positive reinforcement strategies.
• Support communication using verbal prompts and communication tools as appropriate.
• Provide close supervision in the community to ensure safety.
• Support transitions between activities and changes in routines.
• Utilize calming, redirection, and de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Monitor safety and report significant observations promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.
• Collaborate closely with family and the care team.
