Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Montville, NJ. As a DSP, you will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence in ADLs and daily living.
• Assist with meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
