Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Wilmington, NC. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment. Starting pay is $16.00-$17.00/hr with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments.

Qualifications

Compassionate and reliable caregiver mindset.
Ability to work with individuals with IDD.
Willingness to obtain training and certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
Complete ongoing training and professional development
