Job summary

AMD is seeking a DSP Engineer Intern to join the DFE Technology team in San Jose, CA. You will work on RF modeling for RF amplifiers using MATLAB, and explore adaptive approaches to improve linearity for 5G/6G terrestrial and NTN applications.

The internship runs full-time onsite with summer session dates May 24, 2027 - August 13, 2027 (semester) or June 21, 2027 – September 10, 2027 (quarter). MS candidate in wireless/wired communications preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed coursework in Digital Signal Processing and Digital Communications.
• Completed coursework in machine learning and various neural networks.
• Background in non-linear system analysis and in RNN/LSTM architectures.

Responsibilities

• Assist DFE Technology team with RF modeling in MATLAB for RF amplifier non-linear responses.
• Explore adaptive approaches for closed loop linearity improvements on 5G/6G designs.
