Job summary

Expedition Technology (EXP) invites energetic students to join a summer internship in signal processing and machine learning. You will work onsite at our Herndon HQ, tackling real-time RF data with Python and GPU-accelerated DSP, building algorithms and integrating them into real systems.

You will collaborate with engineers, develop data pipelines, train ML models, and present your findings. Applicants should be pursuing relevant degrees and be eligible for a US security clearance; strong Python

Qualifications

• United States citizenship is required for security clearance purposes.
• Currently enrolled student pursuing a college degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, data science, AI/ML or related major with an emphasis in Digital Signal Processing.
• Entering final year of an undergraduate or graduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python preferred).
• Familiarity with command line and version control (Git) experience.
• Interest in signal processing and machine learning.
• Must be willing to undergo background investigation for a US-government issued security clearance if not already cleared.
• Experience creating and delivering technical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Learn & Develop: Delve into real-time machine learning systems operating on streaming, real-world RF data.
• Implement: Use Python to perform DSP tasks and deploy solutions in real systems.
• Collaborate: Work with engineers on data pipelines, ML training, and problem solving.
