Job summary

QSAC, a New York nonprofit, is urgently hiring Direct Support Professionals for the Melville Day Habilitation Center. You will assist individuals with daily living, follow treatment plans and promote independence within a supportive, community-based program.

The role features an 18.00 USD/hour rate, Early Morning to Late Afternoon shifts on weekdays, and full-time status. Benefits include strong eligibility for insurance, PTO and career growth opportunities at QSAC.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote and protect the health, safety and emotional well-being of the individuals.
• Honor the personality, preferences, culture and strengths of the individuals.
• Work in partnership with others to support all individuals to lead self-directed lives.
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
