Job summary

QSAC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Melville, NY for Day Habilitation. The DSP role supports individuals, follows treatment plans, and promotes independence through community activities.

Shift is Early Morning to Late Afternoon, weekdays. Salary is $18.00 per hour. Qualifications include NYS driver's license and a high school diploma or GED; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred. QSAC offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
• NYS driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote health, safety and emotional well-being of the individuals.
• Honor person-centered supports and reflect preferences, culture and strengths.
• Work with others to support individuals to lead self-directed lives.
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
