Job summary

QSAC is a New York nonprofit providing person‑centered services to autistic individuals and their families. This DSP role supports people in the Day Habilitation program with independence, relationships, and community integration, following individualized treatment plans.

The position offers weekday shifts from early morning to late afternoon, with a starting pay of $18.00 per hour. A high school diploma or GED and experience with ID/DD are preferred, plus a NYS driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• NYS Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Home Health Aide experience is a plus.
• Putting People First, Building and Maintaining Positive Relationships, Demonstrating Professionalism, Supporting Health and Safety, and Helping Individuals to be Active and Productive.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individuals to develop and maintain relationships.
• Promote and protect health, safety and emotional well‑being.
• Honor person‑centered supports and individual preferences.
• Support self‑directed living in partnership with others.
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans.
• Transport individuals in agency vehicles as needed.
