Open Arms Care Corporation is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Caregiver in Nashville, TN. The role supports individuals with ID/DD in day-to-day activities, teaching independent living skills and promoting personal autonomy.

Shifts include 1st/2nd/3rd with both full-time and part-time options. Must have valid driver’s license, CPR and PCM certifications within specified windows, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Training provided and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and/or GED preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire is required.
• Certified in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) within 60 days of hire is required.
• Ability to lift repetitively a minimum of 50 pounds; tasks may include lifting, repositioning, turning, bending, squatting, etc.

Responsabilités

• Represent Open Arms Care Corporation in a positive and professional manner in community meetings, events and social functions.
• Provides day-to-day organization and implementation of activities that promote an organized and positive environment.
• Independently make decisions regarding best practices, quality assurance, risk management and problem-solving, including timely response and documentation of injuries.
• Coach, teach, and mentor individuals in home management and personal independence; promote rights and self-advocacy.
• Engage clients in active treatment and implement ISP-based programs according to CMS regulations.
• Advocate for each client’s needs and maintain positive welfare in home and community.
• Coordinate, schedule and transport clients to appointments and activities; prepare and file reports.
• Document client participation and progress in training objectives to teach independent living skills.
