Abound Health is hiring a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support an individual living in a Newfoundland, PA group home. The role emphasizes patience, trust-building, and assisting the member to stay active in the community, including shopping, movies, and church visits.

This CPS position requires driving and offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Comfortable supporting shy individuals and building rapport.
• Ability to drive for community outings (required).

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to community outings (shopping, movies, church, etc.).
• Encourage social engagement and participation in preferred activities.
• Build rapport and trust with a shy individual who warms up gradually.
• Support her in navigating community environments safely.
• Promote independence and confidence during outings.
• Communicate with Abound team members and group home staff.
• Complete documentation and participate in ongoing training.
