Job summary

Abound Health is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support an individual in the Honesdale, PA area. The role requires high‑level personal care, full mobility transfers, and close supervision to promote safety and independence.

This position includes a $1,000 signing bonus, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, flexible schedules, and opportunities for career growth within a mission‑driven organization that serves the I/DD community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Reliable transportation to shifts.
• Physical capability to lift and perform full‑assist transfers.
• Comfort with high-level personal care and medical routines.
• Able to pass criminal background, driving record, and healthcare checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential hands-on health and daily living support.
• Mobility support with transfers for non-ambulatory clients.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Manage tube-feeding and medications; monitor seizures.
• Support communication using an iPad and non-verbal cues.
• Maintain a calm, structured environment and provide behavioral guidance.
• Record daily services and communicate with families and Abound team.
