Job summary

Abound Health is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual in a Newfoundland, PA group home. The role focuses on community participation, safety, and building independence through escorted outings and activities.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with CPS services two days per week (Wednesday 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM). We offer paid onboarding, training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record and driving record checks.
• Comfortable supporting shy individuals and building rapport.
• Ability to drive for community outings (required).

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to community outings.
• Encourage social engagement and participation in activities.
• Build rapport with a shy individual who warms up gradually.
• Support safe navigation of community environments.
• Promote independence and confidence during outings.
• Communicate with Abound team members and group home staff.
• Complete documentation and participate in ongoing training.
