Job summary

Abound Health is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver in North Carolina. We offer paid training to turn compassion into a career, with flexible schedules and weekly pay. A $1,000 signing bonus and a Refer-a-Friend bonus are available to team members.

You will empower individuals with IDD or behavioral needs, provide ADL support, and help clients participate in the community through transportation, appointments, and activities. Prior DSP experience is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and valid auto insurance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Empowerment & Personal Care: Provide respectful, hands-on assistance with ADLs such as personal hygiene, grooming, and mealtime support.
• Behavioral Support & Advocacy: Provide positive behavioral support, follow person-centered plans, and assist with de-escalation.
• Community & Integration: Support goals, transportation to appointments, and participation in community-based opportunities.
• Health & Wellness: Support health by administering medications, mobility assistance, and meal preparation.
