Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Foothills region of North Carolina. You will assist with activities of daily living, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live more independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence.
• Assist with daily living activities (meal prep, hygiene, household tasks).
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Monitor health and safety and maintain a supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
