Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Foothills Region of NC. The DSP will assist with activities of daily living, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

We offer a $1,000 signing bonus, paid onboarding and training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass criminal background checks, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – paid training provided.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
Communicate with Abound Health team members and external parties as needed.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
