Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support an individual in the New Wilmington area. The role involves high‑level personal care, full assistance with transfers, and supervision, with opportunities for additional hours across clients.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
Comfortable providing high‑level personal care.
Ability to lift and perform full‑assist transfers (required).
Willingness to support tube‑feeding and medical routines (training provided).

Responsibilities

Provide full assistance with transfers and mobility for a non‑ambulatory client.
Support all personal care needs including bathing, toileting, and hygiene.
Monitor health and safety, especially related to seizures.
Assist with tube‑feeding for all food and medications.
Support communication using an iPad, picture selection, and non‑verbal cues.
Maintain a calm, structured environment and provide behavioral support.
