Job summary

Care Force Homes, Inc. is hiring one full-time Direct Support Professional to join our team of big-hearted, can-do humans. You’ll be supporting adults with intellectual disabilities in a group home setting where person-centered isn’t just a buzzword—it’s how we show up every day.

We train all team members in Person-Centered Thinking and Positive Behavioral Supports. No physical interventions. Ever. You’ll actually know your work is making someone’s life better.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Must be compassionate, dependable and eager to learn.
• Willingness to pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.

• Helping folks enjoy life—whether at home or in the community
• Encouraging independence and celebrating progress
• Keeping things tidy and organized around the house

The Schedule:

• Full Time
• Monday 10am-4pm, Tuesday 7am-3pm, Wednesday 10am-4pm, Friday 7am-3pm/9am-3pm (rotating)
• Every other Saturday & Sunday: 8am-8pm

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting people with everyday routines, from meal prep to evening wind-downs
• Helping folks enjoy life—whether that means hanging at home or heading out into the community
• Encouraging independence and celebrating progress
• Keeping things tidy and organized around the house
• Writing down what happened during your shift so others stay in the loop
• Showing up with empathy, patience, and a sense of humor

What We’re Looking For:

• Someone who’s compassionate, dependable, and ready to learn
• Solid communication skills (English - verbal, written, and on a phone or tablet)
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check (per MN statute)
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility to jump in and help if a teammate needs backup
