Job summary

HER COMMUNITY SERVICES LLC is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our Georgia team. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), assist with daily living activities, and help implement ISPs with accurate documentation.

Part-time role with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or related human services role preferred.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and person-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with ADLs including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed.
• Foster independence, dignity, and community inclusion for all individuals served.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members.
