Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Operations Shift Supervisor in Fort Irwin, CA to support the DSN Operations and Maintenance contract with JPL and NASA. You will oversee day-to-day DSN tracking and manage shift assignments to ensure continuous data flow for mission support.

The role requires 6 years of experience, a California driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a background check and NCIC clearance. You will coordinate on-site personnel, enforce safety, and serve as liaison for ongoing missions.

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in DSN operations or similar environments.
• Must hold a valid California driver's license and be able to obtain a background check and NCIC clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees daily DSN tracking schedule operations.
• Acts as single point of contact for operational issues at complex sites.
• Enforces safety procedures and maintains records.
• Manages station paperwork, logs and discrepancy reports.
• Coordinates personnel access to antennas and supports Ops staff.
• Reports to Operations Manager or on-call when required.
• Acts on behalf of Operations Manager as needed.
