Job summary

Peraton in Fort Irwin, CA, is seeking an Operations Shift Supervisor to lead the Deep Space Network (DSN) operations and maintenance on the Goldstone complex. You will oversee the day-to-day tracking schedule, coordinate staff at the antennas, and ensure safe, continuous data flow to support NASA/JPL missions.

The role requires 6 years of experience, a valid California driver's license, and the ability to obtain required clearances (NCIC background check and US citizenship).

Qualifications

• 6 years of experience; lead experience acceptable.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Able to obtain trusted background check and pass NCIC.
• US Citizen with proof of citizenship required to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees the daily operations of the DSN tracking schedule
• Provides a single point of contact for all operations related issues on complex, overseas sites during hours of controlling site operations
• Adheres to and enforces all required safety procedures and protocol during operations control
• Completes station operations paperwork, logs, discrepancy reports, and maintains required records
• Maintains awareness and accounting of personnel as they access antennas during operation
• Provides direction and support to all Ops personnel
• Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager, or communicated by fellow SOD’s
• Reports to the GDSCC Operations Manager, and when designated acts on behalf of the Operations Manager
