Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Direct Store Delivery Warehouse Lead in Bayshore, NY to support the sales management team and ensure DC operations run efficiently. The Lead will supervise daily warehouse activities, assign tasks, train staff, and manage inventory accuracy while delivering to customers as needed.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing (DSD preferred), experience with ERP systems (D365), and strong leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a DSD DC in a food related industry.
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource System such as D365 is highly preferred.
• Experience leading and directing others is preferred.
• Requires organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory, records, and rotation of product at the distribution center.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; requires basic math skills.
• Requires independent decision making on inventory needs, especially during promotional activity.
• Must be able to fill in and cover open routes, operate a route sales delivery vehicle safely, and drive a forklift if needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of the DSD DC.
• Assigns daily tasks to the DSD Warehouse Utilities, ensuring timely work.
• Assists with training new DSD warehouse team members.
• Orders inventory; Receives, stores, loads, and ensures products are accounted for.
• Unloads trailers and checks trailer loads for accuracy.
• Verifies inventory against load tickets and signs off accordingly.
• Uses handheld computer to balance daily inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
• Covers open routes as directed by management; delivers products to accounts.
• Leads month-end inventory counts and reports discrepancies to the Head of DSD Ops.
