Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, LLC is seeking a Direct Store Delivery Warehouse Lead in Bay Shore, NY to supervise daily DSD DC operations and guide the warehouse team. You will balance inventory, assign tasks, and ensure product rotation and accuracy across the distribution center.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing, ERP experience (D365 preferred), and strong leadership with attention to detail. On-site work with a focus on safety and efficiency, reporting to the Head of DSD Ops.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a DSD DC in a food related industry.
• Experience using an ERP system such as D365 is highly preferred.
• Experience leading and directing others is preferred.
• Requires organization and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory, records, and rotation of product at the distribution center.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; requires basic math skills.
• Requires independent decision making on inventory needs, especially during promotional activity.
• Must be at least 19 years old, have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and possess or have the ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Must be able to fill in and cover open routes; must be able to operate a route sales delivery vehicle safely.
• Must be able to drive a forklift and/or use a hand jack.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of the DSD DC.
• Assigns daily tasks to the DSD Warehouse Utilities, ensuring work is done accurately and timely.
• Assists with training new DSD warehouse team members.
• Orders inventory; receives, stores, loads, and ensures all products and materials are accounted for and kept in excellent condition.
• Unloads trailers and checks trailer loads for accuracy.
• Checks loads picked by Operators and Distributors and signs load tickets.
• Balances daily inventory using handheld computer; manages warehouse inventory and orders.
• Covers open routes as directed by management and delivers products to customers.
• Leads month-end inventory counts and reports discrepancies to the Head of DSD Ops.
