Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate in Edgemere, MD to ensure proper DSD product receiving and to maintain store standards. The role emphasizes fast, friendly service, accuracy, and adherence to policy.

Key duties include working with vendors, implementing promotions, managing DSD tickets and invoices, and following safety guidelines. A high school diploma and strong customer service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsabilités

• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Protect company assets through proper receipt and return of DSD product.
• Demonstrate and execute proper vendor receiving policies established by Food Lion.
• Work with vendors to resolve vendor errors, policy violations or excessive inventory, etc.
• Work with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure timely promotions by all vendors.
• Ensure weekly merchandising notes are implemented timely.
• Verify that DSD plan-o-grams are accurate.
• Account for daily and weekly DSD tickets, beer and wine invoices and properly file.
• Check EDI invoices to ensure there are no outstanding invoices.
