Job summary

HII - Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Cloud Application Engineer (Software Development Analyst) to support the DSCA in the CIO office. You will design, develop, deploy, and support modern web applications hosted in AWS GovCloud, with a focus on React.js SPAs and full-stack integration.

The ideal candidate has strong React and TypeScript skills, hands-on AWS experience, and the ability to work across frontend, API, and cloud services in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in React and modern frontend application architecture.
• Experience programming in TypeScript.
• Experience with Material UI (MUI), TanStack Query, and Fastify.
• Experience with REST API development and integration with front-end applications.
• Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS and integrating with AWS services.
• Solid understanding of Agile and iterative development methodologies.
• Experience working with stakeholders to translate business processes into software requirements and solutions.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative team settings.
• Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Remote-eligible position; must align with Eastern Time Zone core business hours.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
• Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
• Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
• Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
• Design and develop modern web applications using TypeScript, React, and Material UI (MUI) per DSCA standards.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services, relational databases, object storage, and other AWS application services required to support the application.
• Build, deploy, and operate containerized applications in AWS.
• Support modern software delivery practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, code review, and application observability.
• Collaborate with product, platform, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and data teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
