Job summary

Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel is seeking a Casino Shift Supervisor to monitor compliance with gaming regulations and ensure adherence to Tribal, Federal, and State rules. The role involves preparing daily shift reports and addressing guest and staff concerns with diplomacy.

The ideal candidate has at least three years in gaming, supervisory experience preferred, and solid knowledge of casino operations and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years in gaming, preferably supervisory experience.
  • Must have knowledge in the games played at Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel.
  • Thorough knowledge of casino operations,Policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor employee compliance with gaming regulations (Casino, Tribal, Federal, State rules).
  • Create and deliver daily shift reports to General Manager, HR and other Associate Managers.
  • Respond promptly to guest and employee complaints and settle disputes diplomatically.
  • Protect casino assets and liabilities.
  • Report ideas, problems and concerns; communicate changes to department managers.
  • Maintain cognizance of casino’s programs and policies.
  • Coordinate with department managers and supervisors on collective matters.
  • Perform procedures and gather paperwork for Jackpot verification.
  • Other duties as required to fulfill the position.

  • Reports ideas, problems and concerns; recommends changes; and channels complaints to respective department managers.
  • Maintains the cognizance of Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel’s programs and policies.
  • Cooperates and coordinates with department manager(s) and supervisor(s) on matters of collective concern.
  • Performs necessary procedures and gathers all required paperwork for verification of a Jackpot.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position.

Education

High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of three years in gaming, preferably supervisory experience. Must have knowledge in the games played at Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel; such as Black Jack, different Poker Games, and Craps, Slots, and Sports Book betting. Must have thorough knowledge of casino operations, policies, and procedures.

Other

Must obtain a Key Gaming License, Ability to handle diverse situations/or people, Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal. Must demonstrate excellent attendance practices, and must be able to work 8+ hours if necessary.

Physical Requirements

Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, and reach; Sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time.
