Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT seeks a Manager Software Engineering 3 to lead the Decision Support & Analytics portfolio, overseeing design, development, and delivery of DSS and AI-driven tools for executive customers.

This full-time role requires active Secret clearance, strong program management, and a track record of leading cross-disciplinary teams within complex system development efforts, with a 9/80 work schedule and relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 8 years related software or systems experience or MS with 6 years of related experience.
• Experience in program management: planning, risk management, and project performance addressing cost, schedule, and technical quality for related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements on a large system development-type contract.
• Understanding of technical baseline development and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee system design, requirements management, verification, deployment, and sustainment of decision support systems and AI; data processing and storage; and specialized interface development for executive-level customers.
• Day to Day program management of the DS&A portfolio.
• Manage customer relationships to ensure products meet program needs at the right time.
• Guide the team in adherence to program systems engineering and development plans.
• Execute to product development plans tracking performance metrics such as earned value, Agile execution, risk and opportunity, and product team performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and project managers.
