Job summary

Midwest Drywall Co. Inc. is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, focusing on framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, EIFS/stucco, and exterior claddings.

You will analyze drawings, specifications, and documents to develop competitive bids, collaborate with contractors and vendors, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating.
• Knowledge of metal stud framing and drywall.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as The Edge, PlanSwift, Onscreen Takeoff, or Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Utilize knowledge to estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial metal stud, drywall, and ceiling scopes.
• Prepare comprehensive bids based on project specs and drawings.
• Analyze requirements to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with general contractors and vendors to obtain pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and documents.
