Job summary

Midwest Drywall is seeking a Commercial Drywall Estimator for our DFW Grand Prairie, TX operations. The estimator will prepare detailed costs for drywall, metal stud framing, ceilings, and exterior claddings, using industry software and project drawings.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, with a minimum of 3 years in construction estimating. Candidates should be able to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with GC teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Knowledge of metal stud framing and drywall.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as The Edge, Onscreen Takeoff/QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall, metal stud, and ceiling scopes.
• Prepare comprehensive bids based on project specs and drawings.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with general contractors and vendors to obtain pricing; negotiate terms.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts.
