Performance Contracting Group, based in New England, is seeking a Drywall Estimator for its Boston, MA operations. The role focuses on estimating drywall, framing, acoustics, and interior finishes, with responsibilities spanning takeoffs, vendor pricing, subcontractor quotes, and bid reviews.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience estimating construction projects.
• Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills.
• Ability to read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work.
• Understanding of estimating techniques and the bidding process.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently.
• Ability to learn new skills and apply them on the job.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
• Establish labor productivities for estimates.
• Maintain relationships with vendors for pricing.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for non-self-performed work.
• Assess market conditions to establish margins.
• Participate in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams.
• Support customer alignment and communication objectives.
• Handle contract administration for secured projects.
• Utilize wage and benefit schedules and hand off projects to Operations.
