Job summary

Double L is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with drywall estimating experience to support our bid lifecycle—from identifying opportunities through submitting bids and following up with clients and internal stakeholders.

You will review drawings, develop accurate estimates, maintain bid records, and collaborate with Operations and leadership to evaluate scope, risk, and alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to three years in drywall estimating or related construction roles.
• Proficient in reading plans and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations to identify and track upcoming bidding opportunities.
• Enter and maintain bid opportunities in the company's bid-management system.
• Prepare, organize, and update bid documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain current records of bid status, scope, pricing, decisions, and follow-up activities.
• Participate in weekly bid-review meetings with leadership and help evaluate opportunities.
• Review outstanding bids and coordinate required follow-up.
• Assist leadership in evaluating project scope, schedule, risk, resource needs, and alignment with company goals.
• Recommend appropriate profit margins based on company guidelines and project characteristics.
