Job summary

Manganaro Building Group, LLC is seeking a Drywall Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team in Woburn, MA. This role focuses on interpreting plans and specifications to prepare bids, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local building codes and costs.

You will help grow a versatile estimating team and contribute to multiple drywall and related divisions. Ideal candidates have 2 years of Assistant Estimator experience or 5–7 years of overall estimating experience, with a strong eye for

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting preferred.
• Assistant Estimator with 2 years of experience or 5–7 years total estimating experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications to prepare written bids and proposals.
• Knowledge of local material, labor and equipment costs.
• Maintain understanding of local, city and state building codes in assigned locations.
• Manage and train project engineers and assistant estimators to ensure proper growth within the organization.
• Develop knowledge across drywall, acoustical, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10).

Manganaro is a growing company performing construction services from Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states to New England. Manganaro has nearly 65 years of experience in drywall, masonry, concrete/masonry restoration, structural strengthening and building envelope restoration, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interpret plans and specifications in order to prepare written proposals for bids and proposals
• Possess knowledge of local material, labor and equipment costs
• Maintain understanding of all local, city and state building codes in assigned locations
• Manage and train project engineers and assistant project estimators to ensure proper growth within the organization
• Continuously develop and improve upon knowledge for all product lines, including drywall, acoustical, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10).

Education and Experience:

• B.S. Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, finance, or accounting is preferred
• Assistant Estimator with 2 years of experience or 5-7 years of experience overall
