Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, seeks a Dryer Operator to safely operate fluid bed or rotary dryers and associated equipment. You will start up, adjust parameters, perform basic maintenance, and clean work areas to meet production goals.

You will also manage bulk material handling with a front-end loader, monitor temperatures and moisture, and maintain production records while following safety policies and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, safety rules, and production instructions.
• Basic math skills to support operational, inventory, reporting, or transactional activities.

Responsibilities

• Operate a fluid bed or rotary dryer and related conveying equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use a front-end loader to fill bulk material silos to meet daily production demands.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and startup machinery for daily production.
• Monitor dryer temperatures, airflow, and moisture levels and adjust to meet specifications.
• Maintain production records and communicate operational issues to supervisors and maintenance personnel.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and report hazards or near-misses promptly.
