Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Dryer Operator to run a fluid bed or rotary dryer and related equipment in a busy manufacturing environment. You will start up, adjust parameters, perform basic maintenance, and safely operate a front-end loader to support daily production.

You must read and follow specifications, monitor temperatures and moisture levels, document production records, and report issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret operating procedures and safety rules.
• Basic math skills to support operations and inventory.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and adjust parameters to meet set points.
• Receive bulk loads of aggregates and feed silos to production lines.
• Operate a front-end loader to move materials as needed for production.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and start-up of equipment.
• Monitor temperatures, airflow, and moisture levels to ensure quality.
• Maintain production records and communicate issues to supervisors.
